This truly is one of the best dive destinations in the world
A world-heritage UNESCO side, the seas around Komodo National Park offer 250+ coral species and 1000+ species of marine life, with action-packed drift dives being the main attraction
The suggest landscape and coral reefs of Komodo create a dramatic background for divers to have thrilling underwater experiences with majestic manta rays, curious sharks and colorful fish species, while navigating currents, caverns and drop-offs.
This truly is one of the best dive destinations in the world
Komodo National Park, located between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores, sits at the juncture of two continental plates and constitutes the “shatter belt” within the Wallace Biogeographical Region, between the Australian and Sunda ecosystems.
The most enigmatic inhabitant of the region, of course, is the Komodo Lizard, which is endemic only to this region. But the waters off the islands are no less intriguing, with their signature “coral triangle” biodiversity.

As always, diving itinerary is tentative and subject to change based on weather and other external factors.
Our diving plan aims to cover some of the world-famous sites of the area, such as Castle Rock, Batu Bolong, Mawan, Taka Makassar, Tatwa Kecil, Police Corner, Crystal Rock and of course, Cauldron. “Amazing” doesn’t begin to describe these dives!
Komodo (rightly) has the reputation of having some very strong currents. In general, we feel that the reputation is a little exaggerated: the currents can certainly be very strong but dive centers plan the diving to avoid the worst of the conditions, and typically, conditions are manageable. But that being said, divers should be comfortable in currents, be able to descend and ascend without supervision and have good buoyancy skills and general awareness.
Our accommodation is at a boutique hotel conveniently located just a few minutes walk from central Labuan Bajo, and all the popular local eateries. The harbor, from which the boat departs, is just 5 minutes away.
All rooms have double/twin beds with zircon, safety box, en suite bathrooms, patio/balcony. Breakfast is included in the price, lunch is on the boat and we have left dinner open to allow us to explore some of the local eateries (and the best ice-cream in Indonesia!). The hotel also has an in-house restaurant, for lazy days.
Indonesia offers visa on arrival. Visitors can also apply for an eVOA prior to arrival, which can save them some time standing in line at immigration on arrival.
Please plan to arrive on the afternoon/early evening of August 21, 2025. And on the return, please pick a flight in the afternoon of August 27, so as to ensure adequate surface interval before you fly.
